How We Started

In 1979, Brian Hefferan joined the Roofers Union in the Northwest Chicagoland area on the invitation of his neighbor who was the union's president. After 10 years of honing his skills and knowledge in all aspects of the roofing industry, he and his wife Patty decided it time to open their own business. Hefferan Roofing was established in 1989 and began its quest to provide only the very best in materials, labor and customer service in the industry. Raising their family in the Arlington Heights area, they knew there was no better place to start developing relationships and trust to help build the business. With Brian’s high energy and critical work ethic, it didn’t take long for Hefferan Roofing to build and expand its customer base and grow to the trusted company it is today.

How We've Grown

We began our journey serving Arlington Heights and the surrounding Northwest suburbs, specializing in residential roofing, gutters, siding and masonry. Our business steadily grew through word of mouth and expanding customer referrals. We became known as the premier roofing company of the Arlington Heights area as shown by our A+ rating with the BBB, never having had a single complaint in over 30 years. We are proud to be known as an owner/operator roofing company, that cares for their customers property as their own. Our focus has always been on providing the very best materials the industry has to offer, as well as the most professional crew installing and caring for your entire property from start to finish. This attention to detail and customer satisfaction has served us well and rewarded us with thousands of happy customers.

Due to our growing business, Mike joined our company in 2015 and brought with him over 20 years of his own roofing experience. Mike is now the company's first point of customer contact and handles all daily operations. From day one he’s proven himself to be a tremendous asset to our business and an employee that we take great pride in. As we continued to see a need for additional assistance in varying operations, we brought on Kyle in 2023 with his many years of experience and expertise in handling the most complex and time consuming Storm Damage Insurance Claim cases. With his undeniable work ethic and commitment to customer aide and satisfaction, we are very appreciative to have him on board as the latest member of our team.
